Vanilla Cream Rolls (Cannoncini) 🥐✨
Homemade custard-filled puff pastry horns! Crispy, golden, & dusted with powdered sugar. Perfect with coffee! ☕

📝 Ingredients
🥣 For the Vanilla Custard:
• 3 egg yolks
• 30g (¼ cup) all-purpose flour
• 100g (½ cup) sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 235ml (1 cup) milk
🥐 For the Cannoncini:
• 1 sheet puff pastry
• 50g (¼ cup) sugar
• 1 egg (for egg wash)
• Powdered sugar (for dusting)
🔪 Steps:
1️⃣ Make Custard: Whisk yolks + sugar + vanilla + flour. Slowly add warm milk while whisking. Cook over medium heat until thickened. Let cool completely. ❄️
2️⃣ Shape Pastry: Cut puff pastry into 1.5–2cm (¾ in) strips. Wrap around cone molds.
3️⃣ Bake: Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 190°C / 375°F for 15–20 min until golden. Cool fully.
4️⃣ Fill & Finish: Pipe custard into cooled horns. Dust with powdered sugar. Enjoy! ✨
