π Crispy Baked Whole Fish
π§ Ingredients:
• 2 whole fish (red snapper, sea bream, or similar), cleaned and scaled
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 2 teaspoons paprika
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1 teaspoon ground cumin
• 1/2 teaspoon turmeric (optional)
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 1 tablespoon lemon juice
• Lemon wedges (for garnish)
• Fresh parsley (for garnish)
πͺ Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F).
2. Prepare the Fish:
Clean the fish thoroughly. Make 3–4 diagonal slashes on each side of the fish to help the seasoning soak in.
3. Seasoning Mix:
In a small bowl, mix olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, cumin, turmeric, salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
4. Marinate:
Rub the seasoning mixture generously over the fish — inside and out, and into the slits. Let it marinate for 15–30 minutes if you have time.
5. Bake:
Place the fish on a greased baking tray or oven-safe dish. Bake for about 25–30 minutes or until the fish is cooked through and golden on the outside. You can broil the top for the last 5 minutes to get extra crispiness.
6. Serve:
Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon wedges. Serve with rice, salad, or roasted vegetables.
