Ingredients:
• 1 lb (450 g) ground beef (or turkey)
• 1 small onion, chopped
• 2 garlic cloves, minced
• 1 tsp smoked paprika
• ½ tsp salt; ¼ tsp pepper
• 1 cup (113 g) shredded mozzarella
• 1 package puff pastry (thawed)
• 1 egg, beaten (for wash)
• Optional: 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C); line a baking sheet.
2. Sauté onion in a drizzle of olive oil for 3–4 min; add garlic for 1 min.
3. Add meat; cook until browned (5–7 min), drain fat, then stir in paprika, salt, & pepper. Let cool slightly, then mix in cheese.
4. Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface; cut into 8 squares. Spoon meat mixture onto each square and fold to seal (use egg wash to secure).
5. Place on tray, brush tops with egg wash, and bake for 20–25 min until golden. Garnish with parsley if desired.
