Moroccan Kefta Meatballs with Onion-Tomato Sauce

Description: Spiced ground beef meatballs simmered in a rich tomato and onion sauce, served with bread or couscous.


Ingredients:

 • 500g ground beef or lamb

 • 1/2 onion, grated

 • 2 tbsp parsley

 • 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp cinnamon

 • 2 onions, sliced

 • 2 tomatoes, grated

 • 2 tbsp olive oil


Instructions:

 1. Mix meat with spices, onion, and parsley. Shape into meatballs.

 2. In a pan, cook sliced onions in oil, add tomato and spices.

 3. Add meatballs, cover and simmer for 25–30 minutes.
